Consolata School – Kiambu is a private Catholic mixed day school run by Consolata Missionaries. It was born in January 2020, named after Our Lady Consolata-the mother of Jesus Christ,the consolation of the afflicted.Consolata was officially opened by Rev Fr. Peter Makau, The Regional Superior of Kenya / Uganda. By this time, the School ground was unlevelled and had a ‘mabati’ gate .At this stage the school had 118 pupils.
Over the months it has developed into a wonderful school capable of providing education facility for 400 learners. The school follows the Kenya National Curriculum and admits all students who qualify or pass the intake assessments. Due to high demand, a new block is under construction to give sufficient space for more students.Fr Peter Ochieng’ was the first director up to April, 2021. He pioneered commissioning of Missionary Club which exposed Consolata School Kiambu fraternity to real world experiences and enhanced spiritual nourishment. He attached a lot of importance to discipline which led to great behavioural performance among the students and staff.
He was later succeeded by Fr Tarcisio Maina. Following in the footsteps of his predecessor, he gives priority to team work, discipline , sense of ownership and good classroom management as attributes that will keep Consolata School – Kiambu productive and successful as an institution of learning in accordance to the school’s core values.
Consolata School – Kiambu dwells in Competency Based Curriculum. Being a daughter School to Consolata School Westlands, it is our objective to keep providing all who pass through our school with opportunities for intellectual, spiritual, physical, creative and experiential learning through high quality teaching.
